Coraline Gaye first came to attention in 2021 with fin:début, a debut EP of impressionistic pop released under the name Brèche de Roland, already revealing her distinctive voice and precise, evocative songwriting. In February 2026, she returns under her own name with La couverture des choses (Humpty Dumpty Records), an album of French chanson poised between gentleness and strangeness, tradition and surprise.

Written and composed by Gaye, the eleven songs explore relationships — to oneself, to others, to children, to landscapes and to the collective — tracing a space where the intimate meets the political. Co-produced with Thomas Van Cottom and mixed by UK musician Mike Lindsay, the album weaves clear melodies with vintage textures, affirming Coraline Gaye as a singular voice in today’s Francophone music.
